Thank you for respecting my work.

I visited the Benziger estate in Sonoma a few years ago and the bio-dynamic tour/story is compelling. I agree that their wines are well made and great value.
BTW, I too am Oroppas fan – currently sitting on 6 pack of 2010 in my cellar. What’s your thoughts about the drinking window?
Thanks for the comment, Bob. Also thank you for sending me down the memory lane, as I was able to recall where and when I had the Oroppas – it was at the Mountain House restaurant in Northern California (https://talk-a-vino.com/2014/06/10/magnificent-views-and-delicious-food-the-mountain-house-in-woodside-california/), the wine was spectacular, as well as the entire meal. I believe Oroppas should age well, however, if you are willing to sacrifice one bottle (I think it should drink quite well even now), you can do a little experiment – drink it over the course of a few days. For each day it will not lose any qualities or potentially even become better, you can assume 5 years of the aging time. I had been using this approach for a very long time, and recently I saw a validation for it in the article by Paul Gregutt, previously with the Wine Enthusiast: http://old.seattletimes.com/html/wineadviser/2012595204_pacificpadviser22.html . Hope this makes sense to you. Cheers!
